Vivekachudamani 1.412

1.412 Guru to Disciple

sarvopādhivinirmuktaṃ saccidānandamadvayam | bhāvayātmānamātmasthaṃ na bhūyaḥ kalpase'dhvane ||

Meditate on the Self that abides in you, free of all limiting adjuncts, being-consciousness-bliss, without a second. Then you will not again be bound to the road of birth and death.

Meaning today and context

A clear, simple meditation instruction: rest attention on the awareness within, beyond roles and moods. Practised steadily, it loosens the cycles we get caught in.

The guru, continuing his teaching to the disciple, tells the disciple to meditate on the Self, free of all adjuncts, and promises he will not return to the path of rebirth.
