brahmātmanoḥ śodhitayorekabhāvāvagāhinī | nirvikalpā ca cinmātrā vṛttiḥ prajñeti kathyate | susthitāsau bhavedyasya sthitaprajñaḥ sa ucyate ||
The mental mode that grasps the oneness of Brahman and the Self, both purified of their adjuncts, free of distinctions and pure consciousness, is called prajñā, wisdom. One in whom it is firmly established is called a person of steady wisdom.
Meaning today and context
Wisdom here is not information but a settled seeing. A momentary insight is a start; steadiness comes from living with it until it holds.
The guru, continuing his teaching to the disciple, defines prajñā and the sthitaprajña: the mind that grasps the oneness of Brahman and Self.
