सत्कृताश्च कृतार्थाश्च मित्राणां न भवन्ति ये । तान्मृतानपि क्रव्यादाः कृतघ्नान्नोपभुञ्जते ॥
satkṛtāśca kṛtārthāśca mitrāṇāṃ na bhavanti ye | tānmṛtānapi kravyādāḥ kṛtaghnānnopabhuñjate ||
Those who, having been honoured and having had their aims fulfilled by friends, do not stand by those friends: such ungrateful men, even when dead, the flesh-eaters will not eat.
