न बुद्धिर्धनलाभाय न जाड्यमसमृद्धये । लोकपर्यायवृत्तान्तं प्राज्ञो जानाति नेतरः ॥
na buddhirdhanalābhāya na jāḍyamasamṛddhaye | lokaparyāyavṛttāntaṃ prājño jānāti netaraḥ ||
Intelligence is not the cause of gaining wealth, nor dullness the cause of poverty. Only the wise person understands the turning course of the world, no one else.
