स्त्रीधूर्तकेऽलसे भीरौ चण्डे पुरुषमानिनि । चौरे कृतघ्ने विश्वासो न कार्यो न च नास्तिके ॥
strīdhūrtake'lase bhīrau caṇḍe puruṣamānini | caure kṛtaghne viśvāso na kāryo na ca nāstike ||
One should not place trust in a seducer of women, the lazy, the cowardly, the violent, one vain of his manliness, a thief, an ungrateful person, or an unbeliever.
स्त्रियों से छल करने वाले, आलसी, कायर, क्रोधी, अपने पौरुष का घमंड करने वाले, चोर, कृतघ्न और नास्तिक पर विश्वास नहीं करना चाहिए।
Do not distrust anyone because of their religion or lack of it; 'unbeliever' here reflects its time. Keeping away from harmful people is not a licence to cut someone off without cause, to shame them, or to seek revenge. If you face abuse or danger, seek help (police 112, women's helpline 181).
