महेश्वरे वा जगतामधीश्वरे । जनार्दने वा जगद्-अन्तरात्मनि । न वस्तु-भेद-प्रतिपत्तिरस्ति मे । तथापि भक्तिस्तरुणेन्दु-शेखरे ॥
maheśvare vā jagatāmadhīśvare | janārdane vā jagad-antarātmani | na vastu-bheda-pratipattirasti me | tathāpi bhaktistaruṇendu-śekhare ||
Between Maheshvara, supreme lord of the worlds, and Janardana, the inner Self of the universe, I see no difference in substance. Even so, my devotion is to the one who wears the young moon on his head.
