किं क्षत्रियाणां देवत्वं कश्च धर्मः सतामिव । कश्चैषां मानुषो भावः किमेषामसतामिव ॥
kiṃ kṣatriyāṇāṃ devatvaṃ kaśca dharmaḥ satāmiva | kaścaiṣāṃ mānuṣo bhāvaḥ kimeṣāmasatāmiva ||
"What makes kṣatriyas divine? What is their virtue, as of the good? What is their human condition? And what is their failing, as of the wicked?"
