bhuvanajñānaṃ sūrye saṃyamāt ||
By saṃyama on the sun, knowledge of the worlds.
This sūtra states what the text claims follows from saṃyama; it is not a feat to attempt or test, and it proves nothing about anyone. Be wary of anyone who sells, demonstrates or promises such powers, or asks for money or obedience in return. Patanjali himself calls these powers obstacles to samādhi (3.37). Never look directly at the sun; it can permanently damage your eyes.

Part of the list of powers (vibhūti) that Patanjali says follow from saṃyama; it begins a group on the heavens.
