Chandogya Upanishad 8.1.3

8.1.3 Upanishadic seer

yāvānvā ayamākāśastāvāneṣo'ntarhṛdaya ākāśaḥ | ubhe'smindyāvāpṛthivī antareva samāhite | ubhāvagniśca vāyuśca sūryācandramasāvubhau vidyunnakṣatrāṇi | yaccāsyehāsti yacca nāsti sarvaṃ tadasminsamāhitamiti ||

As large as this space outside is, so large is this space within the heart. Both heaven and earth are held within it, both fire and wind, both sun and moon, lightning and the stars. Whatever one has here and whatever one does not have, all of it is held within it.

Meaning today and context

We often feel small and incomplete, defined by what we have and lack. The verse says the depth within us is as wide as the sky and already contains both.

Chandogya 8.1.3: the teacher answers that the space within the heart is as vast as the space outside and holds the whole universe.
