शास्त्राण्यधीत्यापि भवन्ति मूर्खा । यस्तु क्रियावान्पुरुषः स विद्वान् । सुचिन्तितं चौषधमातुराणां । न नाम-मात्रेण करोत्यरोगम् ॥
śāstrāṇyadhītyāpi bhavanti mūrkhā | yastu kriyāvānpuruṣaḥ sa vidvān | sucintitaṃ cauṣadhamāturāṇāṃ | na nāma-mātreṇa karotyarogam ||
Even after studying the treatises, people remain fools; the one who acts is the learned man. A well-chosen medicine does not cure the sick by its name alone.
