lobhātkrodhaḥ prabhavati lobhātkāmaḥ prajāyate | lobhānmohaśca nāśaśca lobhaḥ pāpasya kāraṇam ||
From greed anger arises; from greed desire is born; from greed come delusion and ruin. Greed is the cause of wrongdoing.
