आपद्-अर्थे धनं रक्षेद्दारान्रक्षेद्धनैरपि । आत्मानं सततं रक्षेद्दारैरपि धनैरपि ॥
āpad-arthe dhanaṃ rakṣeddārānrakṣeddhanairapi | ātmānaṃ satataṃ rakṣeddārairapi dhanairapi ||
Guard wealth for times of trouble; guard your wife even at the cost of wealth; but always guard yourself, even at the cost of wife and wealth.
विपत्ति के लिए धन बचाकर रखो; धन देकर भी पत्नी की रक्षा करो; पर अपनी रक्षा हमेशा करो, पत्नी और धन देकर भी।
