कदर्थितस्यापि च धैर्य-वृत्तेर् । बुद्धेर्विनाशो नहि शङ्कनीयः । अधः-कृतस्यापि तनूनपातो । नाधः शिखा याति कदाचिदेव ॥
kadarthitasyāpi ca dhairya-vṛtter | buddhervināśo nahi śaṅkanīyaḥ | adhaḥ-kṛtasyāpi tanūnapāto | nādhaḥ śikhā yāti kadācideva ||
The intelligence of a person of steady character, even when he is ill-treated, should never be suspected of perishing. Even when a fire is turned upside down, its flame never goes downward.
