pāpaṃ strī mṛgayā dyūtamartha-dūṣaṇameva ca | vāg-daṇḍayośca pāruṣyaṃ vyasanāni mahībhujām ||
Wrongdoing, women, hunting, gambling, misuse of wealth, and harshness in speech and punishment: these are the vices of kings.
"Women" here means a ruler's own obsessive indulgence; it reflects the prejudices of its time, is not the app's view, and must never be used to blame or demean women.

Power is usually lost through habits: compulsive pleasures, gambling, wasting money, harsh words and harsh punishments. Anyone with authority over others can check themselves against this list.
In Book 3 (Vigraha), the vulture minister Dūradarśin answers the peacock king Citravarṇa, who has lost much of his army after ignoring his counsel. He lists the vices of rulers.
