mayāsyopakṛtaṃ pūrvaṃ mamāpyeṣa kariṣyati | iti yaḥ kriyate sandhiḥ pratīkāraḥ sa ucyate ||
'I helped him before; he too will help me': a treaty made in this spirit is called pratīkāra.
