paricchinnaṃ phalaṃ yatra pratiskandhena dīyate | skandhopaneyaṃ taṃ prāhuḥ sandhiṃ sandhi-vicakṣaṇāḥ ||
Where a fixed amount of produce is paid in instalments, carried on the shoulder, those skilled in treaties call it skandhopaneya.
