prāleyādreḥ sutāyāḥ praṇaya-nivasatiścandramauliḥ sa yāvad | yāvallakṣmīrmurārerjalada iva taḍinmānase visphurantī | yāvatsvarṇācalo'yaṃ dava-dahana-samo yasya sūryaḥ sphuliṅgas | tāvannārāyaṇena pracaratu racitaḥ saṅgraho'yaṃ kathānām ||

As long as the moon-crested Śiva remains the beloved dwelling of the Daughter of the Snow Mountain; as long as Lakṣmī flashes in the heart of Murāri like lightning in a cloud; as long as the golden mountain Meru stands, like a forest fire of which the sun is a spark: so long may this collection of tales composed by Nārāyaṇa remain current.
