भीरुर्युद्ध-परित्यागात्स्वयमेव प्रणश्यति । तथैव भीरु-पुरुषः सङ्ग्रामे तैर्विमुच्यते ॥
bhīruryuddha-parityāgātsvayameva praṇaśyati | tathaiva bhīru-puruṣaḥ saṅgrāme tairvimucyate ||
The coward perishes of himself by abandoning the fight; and likewise the man whose followers are cowards is deserted by them in battle.
