lubdhasyāsaṃvibhāgitvānna yudhyante'nujīvinaḥ | lubdhānujīvī taireva dāna-bhinnairnihanyate ||
Because the greedy one does not share, his dependants will not fight for him; and the one whose dependants are greedy is killed by those very dependants, split from him by gifts.
