svāmi-mūlā bhavantyeva sarvāḥ prakṛtayaḥ khalu | samūleṣvapi vṛkṣeṣu prayatnaḥ saphalo nṛṇām ||
All the subjects truly have their master as their root; even with trees, people's effort bears fruit only when the roots are there.
सारी प्रजा की जड़ स्वामी ही है; पेड़ों में भी मनुष्य का परिश्रम तभी फल देता है जब जड़ें बची हों।
