atharvaṇe yāṃ pravadeta brahmā'tharvā taṃ purovācāṅgire brahmavidyām | sa bhāradvājāya satyavāhāya prāha bhāradvājo'ṅgirase parāvarām ||
The knowledge of Brahman that Brahmā taught to Atharvan, Atharvan in ancient times told to Aṅgir. He told it to Bhāradvāja Satyavāha, and Bhāradvāja to Aṅgiras: the knowledge handed down from the earlier to the later.

The teaching comes with a line of teachers behind it; what is offered is not one person's opinion but something tested and passed on.
The narrator continues the lineage (Mundaka 1.1.2): from Atharvan to Aṅgir, to Bhāradvāja Satyavāha, and to Aṅgiras, the teacher of this Upanishad.
