Overcome by resentment, you have therefore come here. What can I do that would please you? Tell me, best of brahmins.

Meaning today and context

Tuladhara sees plainly why his visitor has come, says so without blame, and still asks how he can help. Naming someone's anger kindly and then offering service can disarm it.

Mahabharata 12.253.51. Tuladhara speaks to Jajali, in the story Bhishma tells Yudhishthira: he names Jajali's anger as the reason he came, and offers to serve him.
