samāhito na spṛhayetpareṣāṃ nānāgataṃ nābhinandeta lābham | na cāpi hṛṣyedvipule'rthalābhe tathārthanāśe ca na vai viṣīdet ||
Composed, one should not covet what belongs to others, nor delight in a gain that has not yet come. One should not exult at a great gain of wealth, nor sink into despair at the loss of wealth.
