शब्दरूपरसस्पर्शान्सह गन्धेन केवलान् । नात्यर्थमुपसेवेत श्रेयसोऽर्थी परंतप ॥
śabdarūparasasparśānsaha gandhena kevalān | nātyarthamupaseveta śreyaso'rthī paraṃtapa ||
Sound, form, taste and touch, together with smell: one who seeks the good should not indulge in these for their own sake beyond measure, scorcher of foes.
