sarvabhūtānyahaṃ dehe paśyanmanasi cātmanaḥ | yoge buddhiṃ śrute sattvaṃ mano brahmaṇi dhārayan ||

Seeing all beings in my own body and mind, fixing my understanding on yoga, my being on what I have learned, and my mind on Brahman,

Meaning today and context

Instead of fixing his mind on gain, Mankin fixes it on seeing his kinship with all beings and on what is lasting. Where we place attention shapes what we become.

In the story Bhishma tells (12.171), Mankin speaks to himself and to Desire after losing his last wealth, describing the inner life he now chooses: seeing all beings in himself and holding the mind on Brahman.
