न छन्दांसि वृजिनात्तारयन्ति मायाविनं मायया वर्तमानम् । नीडं शकुन्ता इव जातपक्षाश्छन्दांस्येनं प्रजहत्यन्तकाले ॥
na chandāṃsi vṛjināttārayanti māyāvinaṃ māyayā vartamānam | nīḍaṃ śakuntā iva jātapakṣāśchandāṃsyenaṃ prajahatyantakāle ||
The hymns do not carry across from wrongdoing the deceiver who lives by deceit. As birds leave the nest once their wings have grown, the hymns abandon him at the time of the end.
