It is not [altered] by the good, nor by the bad; this is seen to be the same in all human beings. Know this sameness as belonging to the immortal; one so joined should seek that honey. The yogins see that eternal Lord.
Meaning today and context
Under every person's record of good and bad lies the same Self, equal in all. Seeing that sameness makes it harder to look down on anyone, and easier to forgive yourself.
Sanatsujata says this Self is not changed by good or bad deeds and is the same in all people; that sameness belongs to the immortal, and one joined to it should seek that honey.
